1. Small scale improvement and repair works in the area around National Park ‘Bredhi Drenoves’ and ‘Marking and signage of hiking trails for the selected path

The intervention will include: Preservation and cleaning works, Road signage including mapping of churches and adding of information panels (e.g. for the ‘Church of Ristozi’ which is considered as one of the oldest in the Balkans), markings for the path, small-scale maintenance works, signposting. Restoration of parts of the pathways that are in damaged state to enable the easier and safer access for the visitors, creation of camping areas with the aim to boost local economies and more specifically the hospitality providers, promotion of Natural Heritage sites through their inclusion into the hiking routes, rehabilitation of Culture Heritage sites located within and in immediate vicinity of the National Park

2. Small scale infrastructure works for the rehabilitation of ‘Paragliding Point’ located at Morava mountain

Preparation of the infrastructural interventions plan, managing and supervising rehabilitation works at Morava mountain’s Paragliding point. The purpose is to turn the Paragliding Point into an operational, attractive, safe and frequented-by-visitors destination. The Paragliding point already attracts a number of visitors each year and has a potential to attract more once the proposed interventions are complete.

3. Small scale preservation and repair works at the ‘Mountain Theatre’

Repairing works at the “Mountain Theatre”, located in a magnificent area with view the lake and the whole town of Kastoria. The interventions will focus on the expanding of the stage area, improvements of the lighting system of the theatre, Opening sidestreet to supply sets, supply fixtures for the lighting of the theatre’s parking lot to the entrance, supply with internal and external doors. Enclosure of space with railings, wrought iron railings. Also the intervention includes improvement the drainage system of the theatre due to the fact that it is located at a slope of the mountain and during the winter, the site gets damaged with rain etc.

4. Preservation and repairing works at the pre-historic settlement ‘Limneos Ikismos’

The pre-historic settlement “Limneos Ikismos” is the most significant and famous cultural site of Kastoria attracting thousands of visitors on a yearly basis. The interventions will include lighting repair and maintenance work, small-scale restoration of objects, adding information panel in surrounding (nearby) area. Supply of an automatic ticket vendor for the Settlement”, and supply of a lawnmower for the “Prehistoric Lake Settlement”.
